Grace Elizabeth Champion
  

Dear friends one and all ­

Teresa has given birth to a heavenly girl, Grace Elizabeth Champion, on Wed. Oct. 9 (2002), at Lismore Base Hospital, by emergency Caesarian. Grace was 8 lb 8 at birth, and 14 days late ­ and 58 cm, a tall one. Both girls are doing well.

I wanted to name her Nigel Smart Raindrop Champion, after my favourite Crows player, and to reflect her North Coast heritage, but Teresa went a bit cool on the idea.

Grace has long fingers and big feet ­ all the better for playing music, and kicking footballs.
